Former Napoli, Newcastle United, and Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez praised the work of Luciano Spalletti at his former club, who currently sit atop the Serie A table.
The Spaniard spent two seasons with Napoli from 2013 through 2015, winning both the Coppa Italia and Suppercoppa titles in 2014.
“I’ve known Spalletti for some time, he and I spoke after he gave a presentation at Coverciano,” Benitez told Sky Sport.
“He’s an experienced manager who wins and does so well. Napoli is a unique city where there’s a huge passion for football and he (Spalletti) is handling everything the right way.”
He continued, “I told him he’s going to win the Scudetto but he said ‘No, no, no’ simply out of superstition. Ultimately, though, I think they’re going to win.”
“The team is strong and confident and can even do well in the Champions League. I’m not sure how far they’ll go but they have a chance to make it to the end.”
“Osimhen? He reminds me a bit of Fernando Torres, he’s quick, skillful, and very powerful in the air. Though, it’s not fair to discuss only one player at Napoli, they’re a full team.”
