Andy Mattioli

According to the latest report in Italian media, Juventus are making concrete steps toward further extending Leonardo Bonucci’s contract.

As reported by Tuttomercatoweb, the the 35-year-old centreback is willing to extend his stay in Turin despite a disappointing season so far with several ups and dows caused by injuries.

Bonucci’s current contract with the Bianconeri is set to expire in 2024, but Juve’s management plan on offering him an extension until 2025 with a lower salary.

The Italian defender is expected to earn less than his current wages of €7 million, and start making around €4-5 million per season.
