Stefano Pioli did not sound optimistic about Mike Maignan’s recent injury in today’s press conference ahead of Milan-Monza scheduled tomorrow night.
The Italian technician addressed the Frenchman’s injury and predicted a recovery timeline until at least after the New Year.
“We are very sorry for his injury. He is an important player and he was doing everything to get back to top form: we tried to evaluate all the possibilities, he pushed to get back earlier and the tests showed he had already fully recovered.”
“We did all the right things along the way, but unfortunately it’s not the same muscle and this injury will keep him out I think at least until January.”
