Napoli are reportedly leading the pack to land free agent defender Mario Hermoso.
The 28 year-old is set to depart Atletico Madrid on a free transfer after opting not to extend his contract with the club, whom he originally joined in 2019.
According to DAZN, Hermoso is keen to move abroad and wants Italy to be his next destination. Several teams in Serie A have expressed interest in his services including Inter, Juventus, and Roma.
However, the Partenopei are leading the race to sign the highly coveted free agent. Though, there’s still some distance between their contract offer and Hermoso’s wage demands.
