Leicester City Targets Juventus Starlet Soule in Roma Challenge

IF24 Desk

Roma and Leicester City are in a heated battle to secure the services of Juventus winger Matias Soulé, with both clubs reportedly offering €25 million for the talented 21-year-old. Soulé impressed during his loan spell at Frosinone last season, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists in 36 Serie A appearances.

Juventus is looking to offload Soulé in order to raise funds for the acquisition of Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta, a move that is expected to cost over €50 million. The asking price for Soulé is between €35-40 million, with Leicester City currently leading the race after submitting a €25 million bid along with an additional €5 million in bonuses.

Despite Leicester City’s strong offer, Roma is also in the mix and is presenting a similar proposal for Soulé’s signature. Other Premier League clubs such as West Ham United and Aston Villa have also shown interest in the talented winger.

Soulé, who joined Juventus from the Velez Sarsfield academy in January 2020, has progressed through the ranks at the club and his contract is set to run until June 2026. The young Argentine’s potential has attracted significant attention from top clubs, making him a sought-after prospect in the transfer market.
