Rabiot’s uncertain future leaves Juventus in limbo

IF24 Desk

Adrien Rabiot has reportedly left Juventus in limbo after his contract expired, leaving the 29-year-old without a club as he headed to EURO 2024 without providing a clear answer about his future.

The French midfielder’s contract with Juventus ended in June after signing a one-year deal the previous summer. Talks were underway for a new contract that could have extended his stay at the Allianz Stadium for several more years.

Juventus had been working on a two-year contract extension with the option for another 12 months, with similar wages to his previous deal of around €7.5m per season plus bonuses. However, no agreement was reached before Rabiot departed for EURO 2024 with France, despite reportedly promising Juventus a decision before the tournament.

Now a free agent, Rabiot has been linked to various clubs, with reports suggesting interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool, Milan, Roma, and Galatasaray. With Juventus already adding new midfielders to their squad this summer, a renewal with Rabiot seems unlikely as he has seemingly disappeared from the club’s plans.
