Greenwood Faces Deadline as Lazio, Marseille, Juventus and Napoli Await Decision

IF24 Desk

Lazio has reportedly run out of patience with Mason Greenwood and has given him an ultimatum to choose between them, Olympique Marseille, Napoli, and Juventus by tomorrow. The winger was excluded from the squad due to domestic abuse charges, which were later dropped as he reconciled with his partner, who is now pregnant. Despite a loan spell at Getafe, Greenwood remains unwanted at Manchester United, who are looking to sell him this summer.

Olympique Marseille had reached an agreement with the club for €27.6m plus €4m in add-ons and up to 50% of the future fee. However, the deal hit a snag when the Mayor of Marseille and fans protested against Greenwood’s signing, leading the player to reconsider. Lazio, as per Calciomercato.com, has set a deadline for Greenwood to make a decision or they will withdraw their offer on Monday. Their offer is reported to be €23m plus 50% of the future fee.

Juventus and Napoli are also monitoring the situation closely and could intervene, but they appear to be less proactive about it.
