Juventus hold out for Leicester bid, favoring Foxes over Roma for Soulé.

Juventus is currently awaiting a new offer from Leicester City for the talented Argentinean player Matias Soulé. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus considers the Premier League club to be more ‘credible’ than Roma in this deal.

Juventus is holding out for an offer in the range of €35m to €40m for Soulé, who scored 11 goals in the league with Frosinone last season. Coach Thiago Motta understands that a significant bid is necessary for the sale of the winger, and Juventus has already turned down a €30m offer, including add-ons, from Leicester City.

Reports from Tuttosport suggest that Juventus will not budge on their asking price, while Gazzetta insists that Leicester City is currently leading the race for Soulé.

Juventus directors reportedly believe that Leicester City is a more ‘credible’ option than Roma, as they are more likely to meet the asking price. If both clubs make identical offers, Juventus is inclined to accept the offer from Leicester to avoid facing Soulé as an opponent in the upcoming season.

Despite the current fluidity of the situation, Soulé is open to joining either club or remaining at Juventus. Il Corriere dello Sport predicts that Roma will soon make an initial offer, which may be around €25m, still below Leicester’s initial bid.
