Federico Chiesa has officially kicked off his pre-season with Juventus, but he will not be joining his teammates in Germany as the club is still waiting for offers for the Italian winger.
Chiesa is expected to depart from Juventus this summer, with the Serie A side eagerly anticipating offers for him. With less than a year remaining on his contract at the Allianz Stadium, Juventus is prepared to sell him for a fee ranging between €25m and €30m.
Chiesa arrived at the J Medical facility in Turin this morning to undergo medical tests in preparation for the upcoming season. Fresh from his post-Euros holiday and recent wedding in Grosseto, the former Fiorentina star spent a brief amount of time at Juventus’ private clinic, graciously signing autographs for fans before departing.
Sky Sport Italia has confirmed that the 26-year-old will be training at Continassa alongside other Juventus players such as Mattia De Sciglio and Dean Huijsen, while they await the return of the rest of the team and coach Thiago Motta from Germany.
Despite reports suggesting that Chiesa is not in Motta’s plans at Juventus, the winger is keen on working under the former Italian midfielder before making a decision on his next destination.
