Juventus has officially submitted their first offer to Atalanta for midfielder Teun Koopmeiners and is now awaiting a response. The 26-year-old Dutch player is Juventus’ top target for the upcoming summer transfer window, seen as the ideal addition to Thiago Motta’s new project in Turin. Koopmeiners had an impressive season with Atalanta, scoring 15 goals and providing seven assists in 51 appearances.
Koopmeiners had already agreed to personal terms with Juventus in May, ready to sign a five-year contract worth around €4.5 million per season plus bonuses. However, a deal has not been finalized with Atalanta yet, as Juventus were waiting to offload Matias Soule and Dean Huijsen before making their offer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus has now officially made a €45 million offer to Atalanta for Koopmeiners, showing strong interest in acquiring the talented Dutch midfielder. Atalanta has reportedly set a price tag of €60 million, so it remains to be seen if they are willing to negotiate.
In March, Koopmeiners expressed his desire to leave Bergamo this summer, but Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi stated that the club was not considering a sale at that time.
