Udinese has officially confirmed the return of Alexis Sanchez, the former Barcelona, Arsenal, and Manchester United forward. Sanchez, now 35 years old, has joined the club as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Inter, the reigning Serie A champions. He has signed a two-year contract with Udinese, which will keep him at the club until June 30, 2026.

In a statement on the club’s website, Udinese expressed their excitement about Sanchez’s return, referring to him as “El Niño Maravilla” and highlighting his previous success with the team. Sanchez’s career in European football began with Udinese in 2008, before he moved on to Barcelona under Pep Guardiola in 2011. During his time at Barcelona, Sanchez won the LaLiga title, Copa Del Rey, Supercopa de Espana, and UEFA Super Cup.

Following his stint at Barcelona, Sanchez joined Arsenal in 2014 and later made a high-profile swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Manchester United in 2018. Despite facing challenges at Old Trafford, Sanchez found success at Inter, where he won the Serie A trophy in his second season with the club.

After a brief spell with Marseille, Sanchez returned to Inter for the 2022-23 season before becoming a free agent. Now, after 13 years, Sanchez has decided to rejoin Udinese, his first European club. The club is thrilled to welcome back the two-time Copa America winner and is looking forward to his contributions on the field.

In conclusion, Sanchez’s return to Udinese marks a significant moment in his career, and fans are eager to see him back in action with the Bianconeri. As the club aptly put it, “El Niño is back 🤍🖤”.
