Inter Milan Eyes Juventus’ Chiesa for Potential Free Transfer Deal

Inter Milan’s pursuit of Federico Chiesa may face a roadblock as the player could potentially remain at Juventus this season and depart on a free transfer next summer. According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 26-year-old winger might stay with the Bianconeri even if he is not part of their plans.

Juventus is reportedly keen on offloading Chiesa this summer, with new coach Thiago Motta not considering him for the upcoming season. However, the lack of concrete offers for the Italian international has put the club in a difficult position.

Chiesa’s contract with Juventus expires in June next year, making this summer the last significant opportunity for the Turin side to profit from his sale. If no suitable offers materialize, Juventus may have to consider selling him at a reduced price in January or risk losing him for nothing at the end of his contract.

Despite Juventus’ efforts to move Chiesa on, the lack of firm interest from other clubs has left the player in limbo. If no acceptable offers emerge, he could end up staying at Juventus, with the possibility of being reintegrated into the squad by Motta seeming unlikely.

Inter Milan, known for making strategic free transfer signings, could be monitoring the situation closely and may look to secure Chiesa’s services next summer if he becomes available on a free transfer.
