PSG Struggle to Sell Skriniar Due to High Wages and Transfer Fee

The upcoming closure of the summer transfer window has put the spotlight on Milan Skriniar as a potential mover. However, a journalist has pointed out that Paris Saint-Germain will face challenges in offloading the player.

Skriniar has yet to make an appearance in the 2024-25 season, with manager Luis Enrique making it clear that the experienced defender is not part of his plans. This situation suggests that it would be beneficial for both parties to part ways sooner rather than later.

Despite PSG’s intentions to sell, there are interested parties eyeing the Slovakian center-back. According to a report from Calciomercato, clubs like Juventus, Everton, and Brighton & Hove Albion could explore the possibility of acquiring Skriniar.

However, journalist Romain Molina has highlighted the obstacles in completing a deal for Skriniar due to his high wages. Molina stated, “At PSG, there are quite a few players they’d like to move on from, but Skriniar is basically unsellable. The price is too high, and his salary is huge. In Paris, Skriniar is essentially unsellable due to his salary and the transfer fee. This means they might have to keep him for a few more years.”

If Molina’s assessment holds true, there is a likelihood that Skriniar will remain at PSG for the time being, with a potential revisit of his situation in the winter transfer window.
