SPAL midfielder Salvatore Esposito has caught the attention of several clubs in recent months after making his senior debut with the Italian national team last summer.
The 22 year-old has been one of the standouts for the Serie B side so far this season, collecting 2 goals and 2 assists in 17 league appearances.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, one of the clubs most interested in the former Inter youth product is Spezia.
The Aquilotti recently had their initial €2.8 million offer for Esposito rejected by SPAL. However, they’re prepared to increase their bid to €3.5 million and are increasingly optimistic they’ll be able to strike a deal for the player in January.
