On-loan Spezia defender Mattia Caldara admitted he regrets how his four-year long spell at Milan has gone.
The 28 year-old joined the Rossoneri from Juventus in 2018 for a massive €35 million fee, with Leonardo Bonucci going the other way and rejoining the Bianconeri.
Since the move, Caldara has made only 2 official appearances for the club and spent the last three seasons on loan at Atalanta, Venezia, and currently Spezia.
“I had so many physical issues at Milan,” Caldara told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I endured so much bad luck and agony. Milan is explicitly the biggest regret I’ll probably have forever.”
He also weighed in on Spezia’s prospects at avoiding relegation for a second consecutive season.
“We’ve got a good team spirit. We know we’ve got to win matches against those we’re directly competing with for salvation.”
