Napoli attacker Matteo Politano reflected on his team’s 1-0 defeat yesterday versus Inter—their first in Serie A.

The Italian lamented his side’s inability to take advantage of their scoring opportunities but insisted they can’t dwell on the result.

“We knew it’d be a tough game, we wanted to start the new year off with a win,” Politano told Sportmediaset.

“The match was balanced for 50 minutes then they did well to take advantage of their chances and scored a goal. Meanwhile, we didn’t make the most of the scoring chances we had.”

“However, we have to look ahead because we have another match in three days. We’re embittered about the result but we have to move forward.”
