Milan boss Stefano Pioli applauded his players after their 2-1 win this evening in Veneto over Hellas Verona.
A late strike by Sandro Tonali in the 81st earned the Rossoneri their third victory in a row and keeping them just three points behind league leaders Napoli.
“I like what my players have been saying. We need to keep winning and grabbing points if we want to think about successfully defending our Scudetto,” Pioli told DAZN.
We need to be competitive for the top spots, that means winning many games and amassing many points in every arena,” Pioli told DAZN.
“Tonight was difficult, Faraoni did well to take away space from Theo (Hernandez). Nonetheless, we were very motivated to get our third win in a row and continue doing well in our games away from home.”
“The new arrivals are integrating themselves well. They have great potential and their extremely motivated to keep working.”
