The agent of Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, Pablo Bentancur, addressed his client’s club future after they secured promotion back into Serie A.
Nandez has been linked to a host of clubs over the previous two years but ultimately remained in Sardegna, though he could be on the move this summer.
“It’s been a tough two years for Cagliari and also for the player,” Bentancur told LaLazioSiamoNoi.it.
“Luckily the team won promotion back to Serie A where they deserve to be. I met with the president and ultimately we decided to seek out offers that would recover the club’s important investment in Nandez.”
He continued, “I believe he spent roughly €18 million to acquire him then there’s also a sell-on clause that goes to Boca. I’ve already received offers, including some from Italy, and it’ll be revealed soon.”
“I don’t want to say names because I promised the respective clubs. There’s some important ones from Italy so I’ll have to work for both player and Cagliari to recover their investment.”
