Transfer speculation surrounding Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has risen in recent days thanks to his stellar World Cup campaign with Morocco.
The 26 year-old has been at the heart of manager Walid Regragui’s midfield during the team’s incredible run into the semi-finals (where they’ll face France later today), capturing the attention of many non-Serie A spectators.
His performances have led to heightened speculation he could be on the move should La Viola receive big money offers from the Premier League, where he’s wanted by Spurs.
However, his agent, Mohammed Sinouh, moved to quiet the transfer whispers surrounding his client, reiterating the strong relations between the player and the Tuscan side.
“Fiorentina are enjoying his qualities now. Certainly, though, we receive a lot of calls for Sofyan,” he told Radio Sportiva.
“We respect the decisions being made by Fiorentina, however. They decided to bet on him and not make the loan deal for (Lucas) Torreira permanent, even if there was the chance for them to play together.”
“It’s nice to hear about the interest surrounding Sofyan but we have a good relationship and a long-term contract in place with La Viola.”
