Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is on the verge of signing a new contract with the club.
Sky Sport reports Roberto Calenda, the agent of the Nigerian international, arrived this evening at Castel di Sangro, the location of the Partenopei’s preseason training, ahead of a scheduled meeting with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
His arrival is a clear sign that the two sides are down to the final details on the striker’s new contract–which will see his wages rise from €4.5 million (net) per season to nearly €7 million.
Osimhen has garnered significant transfer interest from abroad this summer, but was staunch in his preference to remain at Napoli–even after receiving a massive contract offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, who were willing to pay a fee upwards of €130 million for the player.
