Monza goalkeeper Alessio Cragno could be on the move once the transfer window officially reopens in January due to lack of minutes.
The Italian international joined the newly promoted side over the summer from Cagliari on loan, however, he hasn’t made a single league appearanceārelegated to second choice behind Michele Di Gregorio.
The situation has perplexed the shot-stopper’s agent, Graziano Battistini, who hit out at Monza during an interview with Calciomercato24.
“Alessio is experiencing a grotesque situation at Monza,” he said. “It’s inexplicable that he never plays.”
“I don’t want to cause controversy but he joined the club as a goalkeeper and member of the Italian national team. Obviously this isn’t an easy situation and certainly isn’t what we expected when he joined the club over the summer.”
Finally adding, “He’s not afraid of anything and those in football are well aware of his value, which remains high. As for a transfer in January, the situation is that a solution involving three clubs would have to be found.”
“Monza have an obligation to make the loan permanent and then Cagliari are also in the middle, so everyone would have to agree (on the deal).”
