Juventus manager Max Allegri praised his side for bouncing back from Saturday’s loss against Sassuolo and secure a narrow 1-0 victory over Lecce.

Arkadiusz Milik’s second half goal was all the Bianconeri needed to get back to winning ways and handed Roberto D’Aversa’s men their first defeat of the season.

“It was important to win today especially following a tumultuous defeat,” Allegri stated to DAZN.

“Tonight wasn’t easy against a Lecce side that gives you very little. We were patient and didn’t concede many changes.”

He continued, “Mentally we were coming off a pretty particular week where we went from the ‘anti-Inter’ team fighting for the Scudetto to flops.”

“Every day we’re working to get better but right now Inter, Milan, and Napoli are better equipped than us to win the title. We’ve got a lot of inexperienced players this season but they have large margins to improve.”
