Alberto Aquilani is closing in on an exit from his role as head coach of the Fiorentina Primavera in order to accept the managerial position of Serie B side Pisa.
Aquilani is, according to calciomercato.com, the top choice of the club’s new sporting director and former Roma and Inter left back Aleksandar Kolarov.
The sides are closing in on a two-year contract agreement with all signs pointing to Aquilani ending his very successful three-year spell with La Viola’s Primavera. During his time in charge, the club won the Primavera Coppa Italia title three times in addition to the Primavera Suppercoppa twice.
