Former Milan boss Arrigo Sacchi previewed tonight’s Champions League showdown in London between the Rossoneri and Tottenham Hotspurs.
Stefano Pioli’s men enter the second leg with a narrow 1-0 aggregate lead, though Sacchi stressed they can’t rely on their advantage and serve as passengers.
“There’s only one way for Milan to secure progression: play the game in London with courage and confidence in your abilities,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Their approach tonight will be crucial and it’ll be fundamental not to think about and rely on the win in the first leg at San Siro. It’d be a trap to rest on your laurels because you won the first leg.”
He added, “In games like this, the psychological aspect is decisive. You have to be confident in your quality. Milan can’t go to London just to sit back and suffer.”
“You have to go there to play and try to put Tottenham in difficulty.”
