Thiago Motta’s men earned another impressive result this afternoon after winning 2-0 against hosts Atalanta in Bergamo.
Bologna scored twice in the second half to secure all three points at the Gewiss Stadium as their push for European football next season continues.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s men wasted two chances in the opening half when Rasmus Hojlund had his shot blocked then another saved in the area.
The breakthrough finally came just moments after the break when Nicola Sansone curled the ball into the back of the net to give his side the lead. A chance to level the score fell to Hojlund in the 77th minute after a good run of play from Jeremie Boga. However, he couldn’t take advantage of Boga’s creativity.
Rossoblu attacker Riccardo Orsolini wrapped up the result less than ten minutes later when he scored his 7th league goal of the season.
