Atalanta suffered an injury blow earlier today after it was learned summer signing Gianluca Scamacca will be unavailable for a minimum of one month.
Sky Sport reports the former West Ham man, who joined Gian Piero Gasperini’s side this summer for €30 million, strained his left hamstring during La Dea’s recent 3-2 defeat to Fiorentina. Tests from yesterday revealed a first degree strain of his semimembranosis muscle–forcing him to miss at least six games.
He’ll miss at least two games in the Europa League against Rakow and Sporting Lisbon and four in Serie A, including showdowns against Juventus and Lazio.
