Atalanta were dealt a huge blow just a few hours after their impressive 2-0 win over Lazio in the Italian capital yesterday evening.
La Dea announced this afternoon that Dutch international Hans Hateboer would miss the remainder of the season after he suffered an injury in yesterday’s victory.
“Following clinical and instrumental tests carried out this morning, Hans Hateboer was diagnosed with an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee,” read their statement.
“As a result, the player will undergo arthroscopic reconstruction surgery tomorrow, Monday 13 February. The operation will be performed by Professor Pierpaolo Mariani at the Villa Stuart Clinic in Rome.”
