Atalanta to let Koopmeiners join Juventus for €55m after European Super Cup

IF24 Desk

Atalanta is reportedly willing to allow Teun Koopmeiners to join Juventus for €55m, including add-ons, but only after he competes in the European Super Cup against Real Madrid. The midfielder has been a prime target for Juventus for some time now, having reportedly agreed to personal terms months ago and rejecting offers from other clubs like Liverpool.

According to Calciomercato.it, Juventus initially bid €45m plus bonuses, but are now prepared to finalize the deal for €50m plus an additional €5m in add-ons. While this falls slightly short of Atalanta’s €60m asking price, it is close enough, especially considering Koopmeiners’ desire for the transfer.

However, there is a condition attached to the deal – Juventus cannot officially sign Koopmeiners until after he has played in the European Super Cup against Real Madrid. This high-profile match between the Europa League and Champions League winners is set to take place in Warsaw on Wednesday, August 14. Only after this event can the Dutch midfielder make the move to Juventus.
