Celtic has turned down Atalanta’s third bid for Matt O’Riley, as reported by Sky Sport Italia. Atalanta’s offer of €17m for O’Riley was rejected by Celtic, according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio. O’Riley is being considered as a potential addition to the Europa League champions, who may sell Teun Koopmeiners to Juventus.
Despite their efforts, Atalanta has been unsuccessful in convincing Celtic to part ways with the talented attacking midfielder. Celtic declined a third bid from Bergamo, valued at €17m, and it remains uncertain if Atalanta will submit a new offer.
O’Riley had an impressive season with Celtic, scoring 18 goals and providing 13 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions. While Juventus and Roma have shown interest in the 23-year-old, Atalanta is the only club to have made a formal offer for him.
In the ongoing summer transfer window, Atalanta has already secured signings such as Nicolò Zaniolo from Galatasaray and Ben Godfrey from Everton.
