Former Milan striker Mario Balotelli has returned to Adana Demirspor after his contract with Swiss club Sion was terminated.
The 33 year-old officially re-joined the Turkish side on a one-year contract after his time time in Switzerland came to an end after just one season.
“Everything was resolved in a very courteous manner with Mario,” Sion president Christian Constantin told Le Nouvel Liste.
“Rather than talking about money issues, I would have preferred him to score the goals we hoped for. That said, it’s time to move on.”
The deal marks Balotelli’s return to the place where he enjoyed one of his most successful seasons as a professional when he collected 19 goals and 6 assists during the 2021/22 season.
