Bologna want to lockdown manager Thiago Motta with a new long term contract and reward him for his positive run of results.

The ex-midfielder replaced the late Siniša Mihajlović in early September and steadied the ship after the team’s poor start to the campaign as they went winless through the first four rounds in Serie A.

Since his arrival, Motta fixed the team’s defensive struggles and led Bologna to a record of 8 wins, 2 draws, and 7 defeats.

According to Corriere dello Sport, club executives Gio Sartori, Marco Di Vaio, and Claudio Fenucci already met regarding their manager and agreed he’s the right man to lead the team now and into the future.

They’re expected to meet with Motta’s representatives sometime in April or early May once there’s more clarity on the final outcome of the season.
