Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic is close to leaving the club and reuniting with Inter.
Sky Sport reports the 34 year-old is on the verge to returning to the Nerazzurri—nearly thirteen years after he joined them on loan for their treble-winning 2009/10 campaign. He’s expected to cost Inter nearly €10 million after the Rossoblu rejected their initial offer of €8 million.
His imminent exit from Bologna comes after the two sides agreed he’d be free to leave for a bigger club should their asking price be met.
Furthermore, his arrival provides manager Simone Inzaghi with the experienced, physical attacking presence he’s been seeking since the club ended their pursuit of Romelu Lukaku last month.
