Bournemouth is on the verge of securing a deal with Juventus to acquire 19-year-old defender Dean Huijsen. The Cherries have reportedly outbid other top clubs for the Dutch player, with the transfer almost finalized. According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus will receive €18m plus add-ons, along with a sell-on clause. Huijsen is expected to undergo medical examinations before officially joining Bournemouth as their fifth signing of the summer.
Originally from Amsterdam, Dean Huijsen has represented the Netherlands in various youth international competitions, including the U17s, U18s, and U19s. After moving to Marbella at a young age, he recently obtained Spanish citizenship and decided to play for Spain. The young center-back progressed through Juventus’ academy before going on loan to Roma in January, where he made 14 appearances, scoring two goals and providing an assist. He is now poised to join Bournemouth and work under the management of Spanish coach Andoni Iraola.
