Cagliari are closing in on an attacking reinforcement for manager Claudio Ranieri.
The Sardianians are nearing an agreement with Roma for the transfer of striker Eldor Shomurodov, who was put up for sale by the capital club. The Uzbekistan international is keen to find a new club after a difficult second half to last season when he joined Spezia on loan.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports Shomurodov is closing in on a loan switch to the newly promoted side. The proposed deal is believed to include an option for Cagliari to make the transfer permanent at the conclusion of the season.
