Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti admitted he hopes former club Napoli comes out on top in the Serie A title race.
The Italian technician spent eighteen months with the club before a tumultuous exit coming in December 2019. Despite the acrimonious split, Ancelotti insists his spell with the Partenopei was positive.
Speaking to SportMediaset, he revealed, “I absolutely don’t want to give them (Napoli) advice. I just hope a club like Napoli can finally win the Scudetto.”
“They have an important lead but the season is long. My experience at the club was positive, I wanted to return to Italy and I did so at a passionate environment.”
Adding, “Things didn’t go perfectly but still went well from my point of view. Then I went to Everton and had another important experience.”
“All of these were good moments before I unexpectedly made my return in Spain with Real Madrid.”
