Sassuolo executive Giovanni Carnevali discussed the long and drawn out transfer negotiations surrounding midfielder Davide Frattesi.
The Italian international is set to leave the Neroverdi to join Inter after drawing significant interest from Roma, Milan, and Juventus.
“It’s a done deal,” Carnevali told Sky Sport. “He signed his contract just moments ago–we’re pleased because negotiations surrounding Frattesi haven’t been easy.”
“In fact, the discussions took a really, really long time due to the various clubs that concretely pursued him.”
Finally, “Ultimately, though, everything ended in the best way possible, both for us and the player. Inter was always his preferred destination.”
