After an extensive negotiation, midfielder Danilo Cataldi and Lazio are closing in on a total agreement surrounding a new deal.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the 28 year-old will pen a five-year contract extension that will tie him to the club until June 2028.
Talks between the two sides had been ongoing for several months primarily due to a disagreement over the midfielder’s wage request and the club’s offer. However, they’ve appeared to bridge the gap, reportedly settling on an annual figure worth €1.5 million (net) plus bonuses.
An announcement regarding the Cataldi’s new deal is expected to arrive sometime over the next week or two.
