The future of Victor Osimhen has taken center stage following a series of events which exploded late yesterday evening when the striker’s agent his out at Napoli.
Roberto Calenda responded to a video published by the club’s Tik Tok account that essentially poked fun at Osimhen for missing a potential match-winning penalty last weekend against Bologna.
Osimhen responded on his Instagram account by removing every photo of himself in a Napoli shirt—casting doubt on his long term future with the club.
“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable,” Calenda wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted. A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news.
Adding, “We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”
Despite the drama, the striker has been called-up for tonight’s midweek league clash against Udinese.
