New Frosinone manager Eusebio Di Francesco held his first press conference today following his appointment by the club last week.
Di Francesco returns to the bench after sitting out the last 22 months after he was sacked by Hellas Verona three games into the 2021/22 season.
“We’re aware this season is going to be tough. But nothing is impossible, what I can assure everyone is this team will fight against every single opponent,” began Di Francesco.
“We’re still a work in progress but we’ll transform this group into a team. As for our football, a formation is simply numbers but we’re going to start from the basis of the 4-3-3 system. I want our football to be played freely and with courage.”
Adding, “It’s clear that other players will arrive later, we’ll have to make some adjustments, it will take some time and I’m calm and serene about being able to give this team what it takes to face such a difficult season.”
“We’ll try to win our Champions League: salvation.”
Finally, he was asked about the difficulties he’s encountered at Sampdoria, Cagliari, and Hellas Verona following his departures from Roma in March 2019.
“I don’t want to keep reflecting on the negative moments, I prefer to look ahead with optimism and a smile on my face. I’m proud to represent this club and these colors,” he stated.
“I can promise the supporters this team will display seriousness, commitment, passion and a significant humility.”
