Former Italian international and Napoli goalkeeper Dino Zoff weighed in on his former side before their showdown versus Lazio.
The Partenopei host Maurizio Sarri’s men at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Friday evening, with plenty on the line for both sides.
“I expect a great match between Spalletti and Sarri,” expressed Zoff during an appearance on Radio Punto Nuovo.
“Underestimating Lazio would be a huge mistake because, at least in my opinion, the team has incredible potential.”
“If Juventus don’t recover the points they lost, the Biancocelesti will be the team to beat for the fourth and final Champions League place.”
He continued, “As for Napoli, it’s evident how much the squad has grown thanks to the work of Spalletti. You don’t have to look any further than (Victor) Osimhen.”
“The team has been truly spectacular both in Italy and Europe. I can’t ever recall such a large gap between the first and second placed team in the table.”
