Mauro Zarate weighed in on tonight’s Conference League final between two of his former clubs, Fiorentina and West Ham.
The Argentine spent two seasons with each of the respective finalists before returning to South America in 2017. He tallied 7 goals in 29 appearances with the Hammers from 2014-16 before joining La Viola and collecting 7 goals in 26 appearances.
“I think it will be a great final,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“West Ham have not done enough in the Premier League considering the players they have. Meanwhile, Fiorentina have had a great season, even if they did lose the Coppa Italia final.”
“In attack I think Fiorentina are better. (Luke) Jović is yet to explode and I was hoping he would have scored more goals. (Arthur) Cabral is also doing very well, and (Nico) González is very strong.”
