Fiorentina has officially completed the signing of Marin Pongracic from Lecce. The Croatia international has joined the Tuscans in a deal worth €15 million plus €1 million in potential add-ons.
In a statement, Fiorentina announced, “ACF Fiorentina has confirmed the acquisition of Marin Pongracic on a permanent transfer from U.S. Lecce.”
Born on September 11, 1997, in Landshut, Germany, Pongracic has previously played for Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund, and Wolfsburg, in addition to his time at Lecce. He has also earned ten caps for the Croatia senior national team and was part of the squad during Euro 2024.
Pongracic was close to joining Rennes in France, but Fiorentina intervened and secured his signature after offloading Nikola Milenkovic to Nottingham Forest.
