Fiorentina has reached an agreement on personal terms with Boca Juniors defender Nicolas Valentini, who was also a target for Roma. The club is aiming to secure an early deal for the 23-year-old, who is a product of the Boca Juniors youth academy and has a contract that expires on December 31, 2024. This means that he could be available for a minimal fee if released in the summer, rather than waiting until he becomes a free agent in January. According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Fiorentina is confident in their ability to finalize the deal with Valentini.
Valentini has attracted interest from several Serie A clubs, including Roma, Como, Cagliari, and Lazio. He has represented Argentina at the Under-23 level and has even received a call-up to the senior squad. With Italian heritage, Valentini is eligible to be registered as an EU player.
