Fiorentina striker Arthur Cabral appeared on DAZN ahead of this weekend’s showdown versus Milan to discuss life in Serie A, his footballing past, and several other topics.

After a slow start to the season, the Brazilian caught fire in February, scoring 5 goals across Serie A and Conference League, leading the team into the Round of 16.

“Since coming to Serie A, it’s become clear that every game is tough. Then there’s certain teams where they’re even more so,” he said.

“As players, we always want our stadium to be full, it helps you gain confidence and makes you aware you can win.”

“My toughest moment since coming here was the period immediately after I joined the club. It took me awhile to score but something similar happened to me at Palmeiras and Basel. You need to gain confidence.”

He continued, “The number 9 shirt represents a huge responsibility because I play for a great team like Fiorentina where so many great players have played.”

“Growing up my idol was always Ronaldo ‘il Fenomeno’ so I hope to show I’m worthy of this shirt.”

Finally, “The presence of (Luka) Jović? He and I are handling the situation where we alternate as best as possible.”

“The only thing that matters is what’s best for the team. When I can’t we know that we’re in good hands with Jović, who’s a great player.”
