Frattesi completes Inter switch, eye Sommer as Onana nears exit

Inter have been one of the busiest teams in Serie A during the first official week of the transfer market.

Earlier today, the Nerazzurri confirmed the acquisition of Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo on the basis of a loan with an obligation to buy for a total of €27 million.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano reports Inter and Manchester United remain locked in negotiations for goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The Red Devils had their latest offer of €45 million plus €5 million rejected by the Italians. However, those involved with the deal believe €55 million could be enough to get it done in the coming days—increasing the likelihood of Onana departing after just one season.

For his replacement, Inter executive Beppe Marotta reportedly has his eyes on Bayern Munich shot-stopper Yann Sommer.

The club have long been interested in the Swiss veteran dating back to January. Sommer has already informed Bayern he wants the move—making him the favorite to become the Nerazzurri’s new number one.
