Serie B duo Frosinone and Genoa punched their tickets back to Serie A, officially securing promotion following respective victories over Pisa and Ascoli.
The two sides mathematically clinched their spots back into Italy’s top flight next season and will be joined by another club which will be determined via playoff.
With Serie A football guaranteed, the teams will now fight it out in the final two rounds for the Serie B title, separated by four points.
Both clubs were guided by former Italian internationals, both of whom will make their top flight managerial debuts next season: Frosinone’s Fabio Gross and Genoa’s Alberto Gilardino.
