Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini recounted his team’s 2-0 victory over Lazio from yesterday evening.
La Dea secured an impressive away win in the Italian capital, running riot against Maurizio Sarri’s men as they registered 10 shots on goal and 23 in total in the clash.
“It was fantastic to celebrate my 250th game with Atalanta with such a fantastic result against a valuable opponent,” said Gasperini.
“I struggled to think of anyone who didn’t play well, everyone put in a high level performance. We’re third in the table which is great.”
He added, “We’ve had so many quality performances. The only drawback was Hateboer’s injury, which isn’t good.”
“We’re enduring a good run of form with the only misstep coming against Sassuolo. Besides that we’ve done well in every game and we’re growing in confidence.”
