Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini praised his team’s change in approach in the second half after his side were victorious 3-1 over Cremonese this afternoon.

La Dea scored twice in the final twenty minutes to secure the three points at the Stadio Giovanni Zini over Davide Ballardini’s men, who put up a very strong fight against the visitors but ran out of steam in the final 15-20 minutes.

“We struggled in the first half and got way too many passes wrong,” Gasperini explained to reporters in his post-match press conference.

“Cremonese really gave us problems but the changes after the break really made the difference. This is the kind of squad I’ve always wanted: there’s 16 players I can rely on.”

He continued, “We were missing some guys today like Koopmeiners and Djimsiti but we still had players come on and take their chances.”

“Nonetheless, this Cremonese is a tough team and I see a side with a lot of quality within it. I’ve followed them closely this season.”
