After a shocking defeat to Cremonese last week, Roma returned to winning ways and gave themselves a bit boost in the race for a top four league finish.

The Giallorossi defeated Juventus by a scoreline of 1-0 thanks to a thunder strike from Gianluca Mancini early in the second half.

Scoring chances came at a premium with both teams struggling to create clear goalscoring opportunities. Although the Bianconeri hit the post three times, the capital club frustrated Max Allegri’s men throughout the match.

That frustration would ultimately boil over in the final minutes when striker Moise Kean kicked-out at Mancini’s legs and was sent off after thirty seconds.

Reacting to his team’s defeat, Allegri admitted they could’ve done more especially in the first half.

“We could have pushed them around more. We should’ve done much more in the first 45 minutes,” Allegri told DAZN.

“They’re a very tough team and ran a lot all game long. At the end of the first half they were starting to crack, but that’s when we conceded the goal.”

“This is football and you come out defeated, obviously the red card also contributed to the final result,” he added.

“Kean? He made a mistake. He put the team in trouble. That’s all I have to say about it.”
