Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who was previously linked with top Italian clubs Juventus, Milan, Napoli, and Inter, is now reportedly set to join Olympique Marseille. According to reports from L’Equipe and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal has been finalized as a loan with an obligation to buy for a total of €13.5m.

The Denmark international, who will turn 29 next month, saw his price drop due to his contract situation, with his current deal at Tottenham Hotspur expiring in June 2025.

Hojbjerg made the move to Spurs from Southampton in the summer of 2020 for €16.6m and has also played for clubs like Bayern Munich, Schalke 04, and Brondby. With 81 senior caps for Denmark, he has scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists.

This transfer marks another successful move for coach Roberto De Zerbi, who recently secured the signing of Mason Greenwood from Manchester United. Greenwood was also a target for Lazio, Juventus, and Napoli.
